$20 billion Medical Research Future Fund established
The Federal Government's legislation to establish the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) has been passed into law. This allows funding to be deposited into the MRFF, forecast to reach $20 billion in 2020. Interest payments from this will be used to fund life-saving Australian medical research, beginning in this financial year.
